A survey revealed that 90% of ex-smokers start again because they find themselves in situations they associate with smoking.
These associations are different for everyone, but here are just a few of the common ones; drinking a cup of coffee, going to the bar and having a couple of drinks or just hanging out with your friends socially.
These triggers are so powerful, they “can cause a lapse in as little as 10 minutes,” says researcher Raymond Niaura, Ph.D.
So if coffee is your trigger, switch to tea, or stop going to the bar or find a new place to see your friends!
