If you put away one dollar today, another a few days from now, and so on, you cement a saving habit.
Put away as little or as much as you can spare (don’t even dare say that you can’t spare one dollar - you and I both know you’re lieing) when you can. Daily, weekly, monthly; as much and as often as you can.
Once you get into the habit of putting away your money, you’ll soon want to put away as much as you can at a time.
